According to my luthier the Dampit is not good prone to leaks. Been using these things for decades. It is very easy to wipe fideo off after each time you practice. They are easy to use and maintain and my humidifier gauge always reads the perfect humidity. When ready to rehydrate the bag, simply re-soak in water use distilled water for best results.
